Muriel Henry, LLB
Muriel Henry is an experienced labour and employment lawyer, investigator, and trainer who has consistently focused throughout her career on practical and respectful resolution of workplace disputes. She has advised and represented diverse clients in all areas of workplace law. Muriel attained her LL. B. from the University of British Columbia and was called to the Bar of B.C. in 2002. She practiced first with a national law firm and then as a founding member of a Vancouver labour and employment boutique firm. She moved to an in-house counsel role with Canada Post Corporation, which provided an opportunity to develop positive collaborative relationships at all levels of an organization and with numerous unions. Her proven ability to resolve workplace disputes and manage legal risk led to her promotion to a senior managing counsel role, responsible for all legal work in Western Canada. Most recently Muriel has practiced in the provincial public sector, as a lawyer with the Legal Services Branch of the Ministry of Attorney General. In all of her roles she has been frequently involved in workplace investigations, including advising on process and recommended outcomes. Muriel has completed specialized training in workplace investigations, leadership, coaching and advocacy, and has delivered training in all areas of labour and human rights law and in labour relations and arbitration skills.
