CPHR Conference & Expo panel on “Investigations: The Bully, the Bullied and the Better Way”

Lisa Southern, Marisa Cruickshank, and Dr. Carla MacLean will present "Investigations: The Bully, the Bullied and the Better Way" at the CPHR Conference & Expo on May 5th.
The panel will examine why traditional workplace investigations are not always effective at meeting an employer's goals. They will present research which explores how people rate the fairness of workplace investigations and how these perceptions influence their ratings of both their past and future reporting. They will also explore the alternatives to traditional workplace investigations, including when alternative processes might be suitable, and how they might lead to more sustainable changes in behaviour in the workplace. In instances where investigations are necessary, they will consider strategies that investigators may use to enhance participants' sense of justice in an investigation process.
