Arbitration Practice Group

Southern Law’s Arbitration Practice Group is composed of recognized leaders in the fields of labour, employment, and human rights law, who are experienced in conducting fair hearings and writing clear, persuasive decisions.

Our lawyer arbitrators are frequently appointed to resolve disputes under collective agreements, troubleshooter processes, and other jointly appointed rosters. We are recognized for our impartiality and ability to find the right solution to the problem, which sometimes includes helping the parties find their own solutions.

We come from various backgrounds (labour, management, and adjudication) and experiences, including holding positions in government and at the BC Human Rights Tribunal, the BC Labour Relations Board, and the Law Society of BC. All lawyers in the Arbitration Practice Group have received training in trauma-informed practice and are experienced, trained mediators.

Navigating legal issues critical to your organization’s success.
