Jessica Derynck recognized in legal study as “most readable author'“

Jessica Derynck has been recognized for her exceptional clarity and legal writing.

In a recent study analyzing the readability of 1,621 decisions from 840 Canadian judges and tribunal members, Jessica was featured as the "most readable author" among decision-makers with at least three evaluated results.

The study’s author, Mike Madden, noted that only a fraction of analyzed legal decisions meet accessible levels of readability. This extensive research highlights a fantastic achievement:

"That said, several decision-makers with at least three results from the current study demonstrated a consistent ability to write highly readable decisions. The most readable average for an author with at least three decisions was Jessica Derynck of the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal (BCHRT). Her average MADRS value was 3.48, based on three decision scores."
