Corinne was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2011, after attending the University of Victoria’s Law School and serving as a judicial law clerk at the BC Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Southern Law as a workplace investigator in 2022, Corinne acted as Crown Counsel with the BC Prosecution Service for over a decade. As Crown Counsel, she worked primarily as a trial prosecutor and, for a time, exclusively on the Intimate Partner Violence team. In those roles, she routinely interviewed witnesses and performed credibility and reliability assessments, including in complex cases with conflicting witness accounts. She has conducted multiple jury and judge alone trials, including in serious cases involving violence, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
Since 2022, Corinne has worked primarily as a neutral, third-party workplace investigator; her practice involves investigations in provincially and federally regulated workplaces on a wide range of workplace issues. In 2025, she was accepted as a member of the Government of Canada’s Work Place Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations Registry of Investigators.
Corinne also provides valuable training to workplaces, including bringing a respectful, trauma-informed approach to workplace conversations pertaining to difficult topics, such as intimate partner violence and sexual assault.

Corinne Longworth’s practice is focused on work as a neutral, third-party investigator for public and private sector organizations. She has conducted investigations into a variety of allegations in the workplace, including bullying and harassment, discrimination, workplace violence, sexual harassment, and sexual assault. Corinne is particularly sought-after for her expertise in challenging cases involving allegations of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and intimate partner violence.
Corinne has extensive experience interviewing witnesses, as well as effectively weighing, evaluating, and drawing conclusions from the evidence in its totality. She is adept at ensuring fairness, objectivity, and neutrality in investigations, and in making well-reasoned, impartial findings. She has a unique way of bringing a professional yet warm, open approach to her work that helps put people at ease, gained from working with hundreds of witnesses from a variety of backgrounds.
Her practice has often involved working with witnesses and victims/survivors who have experienced trauma, including sexual and physical violence and intimidation. Corinne is trained in bringing a trauma-informed approach to interactions and interviews, and she has worked with both adults and youth.
Corinne also provides training to workplaces regarding bringing a trauma-informed approach as well as avoiding victim-blaming language and triggers for abuse survivors in discussions and interactions, particularly those relating to intimate partner violence and sexual assault. Additionally, she provides training to employees who are required or subpoenaed to testify in court.
Corinne has completed the Osgoode Advanced Certificate in Workplace Investigations.
