Lilac Bosma is a senior legal executive and trusted advisor with more than two decades of experience leading legal strategy, managing complex workplace and governance matters, and advising executive leadership teams across highly regulated industries. She is known for her practical, business-focused approach, her warm and effective leadership style, and her ability to navigate sensitive issues with sound judgment and diplomacy.

Over the course of her career, Lilac has served in senior legal leadership roles, including as general counsel for large national organizations in the financial services and natural resource sectors. Her experience spans labour and employment law, governance, investigations, regulatory matters, sustainability initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and major business transactions. Prior to her in-house career, Lilac practiced commercial litigation and employment law in Vancouver, representing clients before all levels of court in British Columbia and various administrative tribunals.
Throughout her career, Lilac has been committed to making a positive contribution to her workplace and community through collaboration, mentorship, and thoughtful conflict resolution. She has been recognized nationally for her work as a general counsel, as well as for her focus on ESG initiatives and litigation management.
Outside her practice, Lilac is actively involved in the legal and arts communities, serving on the Board of Directors of Women General Counsel Canada and as president and chair of the Board of Pacific Theatre. She enjoys cycling, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her husband and three daughters.
